I just wanted to share some behind the scenes pictures of when we were interviewed by NBC in regards to the Royal Wedding. There is always so much work that goes behind the scenes that most people do not see. I tell brides this all the time. When you are a guest at the wedding, you have no idea how much work has gone into make the wedding as beautiful and smooth as it is. But that’s the whole point! We don’t want you to know =) and we don’t want the bride and groom to know either! It’s their day to enjoy with their friends and family!
That applies to interviews and photoshoots as well! To prepare for this interview, I had to wake up at 4am to get ready, and for those of you that know me, I am not an early bird! We had to set up the table while the news anchors were airing live right next to us so we had to be super quiet when we were setting everything and tried not to have the plates clanking along. Then when we were ready to go live, we got news that Obama may go on air any second and that I would be cut! Yikes! Luckily I got to air (shorter than anticipated) but right after I finished, it went straight to Obama’s speech. Candice our assistant joked that I opened for Obama! It was funny, but the topics we talked about were totally unrelated. =) Of course I haven’t factored in the design time, meeting with the amazing vendors that helped me with this, and picking up all the items, packing and unpacking the car (and trying to look cute!) It all worked out and I had a great time! So I hope you enjoy the pictures and dont’ forget to check out the video if you haven’t already.
Shout out to the vendors:
